SPEED Adds Kyle Petty To Popular NASCAR Show Tradin' Paint - NASCAR Nextel Cup Series Veteran Will Begin Role In Texas: SPEED will add NASCAR veteran Kyle Petty to its popular weekly program Tradin Paint, beginning April 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Adding Kyle as a regular panelist gives SPEED yet another credible voice in our coverage of NASCAR, said Frank Wilson, SPEED VP of Production. Tradin Paint is still a relatively new show and having Kyle on board is the next step in the programs growth. Hosted by John Roberts, Tradin Paint is a 30-minute, weekly live-audience program from the site of each weeks NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race, where NASCAR drivers discuss hot topics with members of the motor sports media. "I speak with the members of the media every week, said Petty, whose broadcast roles include working as a race analyst for TNT's 2006 NASCAR Busch Series coverage, as well as the network's upcoming six NASCAR Nextel Cup Series races in 2007. This is a great opportunity to bring those discussions from behind closed doors to the public. Tradin' Paint is a great program that allows the fans and viewers a chance to witness the great debates and news topics that encompass our sport on a daily basis. I'm proud to be a part of it. I'm thankful to SPEED for giving me the opportunity to discuss our sport on a fast-growing program like Tradin' Paint."

ESPN Acquires Jayski.com: ESPN has acquired Jayski.com - one of the top NASCAR information sites on the Internet. Jayski, who began the site in 1996, will continue to operate Jayski.com, which counts top NASCAR crew chiefs, drivers and owners among its regular visitors. The site has seen tremendous growth in the past three years and is now considered one of the most influential web sites in the sport. Jayski has gained a reputation for consistently breaking industry stories and serving as the ultimate resource and trackside companion for NASCAR fans. Jayski.com will remain an independent voice on ESPN.com and complement the site's revamped NASCAR editorial section, providing NASCAR fans the most comprehensive coverage of the sport on the Internet."Jayski.com is, day-in and day-out, one of the most distinctive, authoritative voices for NASCAR fans online," said John Kosner, senior vice president and general manager, ESPN New Media. "Few developments for ESPN are more exciting than getting back into NASCAR, and doing so with one of the most dialed-in NASCAR insiders in the business. Jay's fan perspective informs everything he writes; he's a must-read for any serious NASCAR enthusiast."Jayski.com's relationship with ESPN extends back to 2004, when ESPN began hosting the website. Jayski and partner Mark Garrow will serve as contributors for NASCAR coverage across all ESPN media - including on-air, online and radio and podcasting. "I am proud to be associated with ESPN, especially as they expand their role in NASCAR," said Jayski. "I'll still be running the site, but with the support of ESPN, we'll have the resources to grow Jayski.com to serve NASCAR fans even better than it already does."Jayski.com features more than 1,500 pages of content on NASCAR Nextel Cup, the Busch Series and Truck Series. Some of the most popular features of the site include Jayski's NASCAR News and Rumors, Team Pages and the Jayski Paint Scheme section. ESPN.com's core NASCAR news, information and feature coverage is anchored by award-winning writers Terry Blount and David Newton, with contributions from Rusty Wallace, Marty Smith and Angelique Chengelis.(ESPN PR), no changes planned for the site.(4-2-2007)AND: John Kosner, senior vice president and general manager of ESPN new media, said he wouldn't tinker too much with Adamczyk's homespun site. Viewers might see more standard Internet banners and ad units, but the content will remain in Adamczyk's hands. "The assumption is that if you make a deal with ESPN, your site is going to look like ESPN," Kosner said. "But Jay has hit on a successful formula. We don't have to reinvent the wheel here. With the Internet, everything is trackable, you can see people's behavior, you know what works."(Sporting News/SportsBusiness Journal)(4-2-2007)SPEED To Air Secong Annual Larry Mac All-Star BBQ Event >From McReynolds' Lakefront Home Sets Fun, Relaxed Tone For NASCAR Nextel All-Star Challenge Weekend: For the second consecutive year, SPEED will set up camp in the backyard of NASCAR crew chief and television personality Larry McReynolds, delivering Larry Macs Second Annual All-Star BBQ on May 17 at 7 p.m. ET. The one-hour television will be part of the networks weeklong programming lineup in support of its inaugural coverage of the NASCAR Nextel All-Star Challenge. The porch didnt fall off the pool was mostly OK so, were glad to have everybody back, said McReynolds, who will be serving BBQ provided by Famous Daves Legendary Pit Barbecue. The SPEED family, and our racing fraternity, we see them at the race track, the atmosphere they work in. We see them on shows where were asking them how their car is doing and this, this and this. This is a show SPEED has come up with where we see our group of characters in an atmosphere where you never get to see them. I think its a very neat deal, McReynolds added. Our sport is about what we do at the race track, what happens on the race track and all those elements. But our sport is also about the characters of all these different people, whether its the personalities on SPEED or whether its the drivers that we are talking about each week. Thats one of the things were trying to show with this second annual Larry Mac All-Star BBQ show. Larry, his wife Linda and their neighbors have been great sports with this, said SPEED President Hunter Nickell. NASCAR drivers, SPEED television personalities and invited guests are all over their house, television trucks are in the driveway, cables are running everywhere the fact that they are welcoming us back for a second year is awesome. Were having a lot of fun with this and well keep coming back as long as Larry Mac and Linda will have us.- SPEED TV, Press Release
