Well to make the league's point system in the league closer, Me and Jerry Jones Racing suggested changing the scoring system. I thought of this awhile back but wasn't sure if anyone would go for it. When JJR suggested it, I thought I'd present it to the league. The race points obtained during each race would only be used to place each member within the race. However, those points would then be converted to the official points used to determine the standings.
In NASCAR the race winner receives 180 points, second place receives 170 points, 3rd place receives 165 points... etc. It decreases 5, 4 and 3 points during specific spots. I'd post the chart in the rules section of course.
We would use the same points that Nascar uses. The 92 points that Bump and Go won this weekend would be converted to 180 points. Syracuse would get 170 points, etc...
Using this system nobody would receive negative points. The only problem with this is if the league grows beyond 43 teams, the maximum amount of cars in one race.
Any other questions or concerns, please voice them.

Positions 44 to 54 are used to award owner points to those teams that don't make the race. The maximum players we could have in one race would be 54, although I'd rather stop at 43. If years from now we have too many people, we'd probably split the league into 2 divisions.
no negative points for the season standings is a good thing...but i would cap it at 43 unless there was enough interest for like two divisions of 25-30
