Excitement is in the air as Victory Junction gears up for 10 special weeks of Summer Camp that kick off on June 3.  As we prepare to give more than 1,000 children a life-changing camping experience this summer, we wanted to share with you some of the special events that are coming up to help raise money for Victory Junction.

Denim and Diamonds at the Childress Vineyards

There are a limited number of tickets still available for our Denim and Diamonds event on May 9th.  Join Kyle and Pattie Petty & Richard Childress for a fancy affair with a country flair!  Kyle jams with Nashville's songwriters to the stars, Billy Montana and Steve Dean, singing their hit songs "Suds in the Bucket" & "Watching You".  Treat yourself to fine Childress wines paired with heavy hors d'oeuvres at one of North Carolina's premier vineyards.  Silent and live auctions promise loads of fun.

NASCAR Day Telethon

NASCAR Day is quickly approaching on May 18, 2007.  This special day is made possible by the NASCAR Foundation, which helps many great non profit organizations, including the Victory Junction Gang Camp.  This year, the NASCAR Foundation will be doing a NASCAR Day telethon that will air on SPEED channel on May 18.  If you call 1-888-MAY-18TH while the telethon is taking place and state that you want your donation to go directly to Victory Junction, the camp will receive 100% of the proceeds.  The charity that has the most callers and raises the most funds in their name; NASCAR Foundation will commit to match the funds raised during the telethon (up to $10,000).

TASTE

The Guilford County Hotel/Motel Association will hold the 10^th annual TASTE, a culinary sampling and silent auction, on Monday, May 14, 2007 from 5:30 9:00 p.m. at the Greensboro Marriott Downtown.  This years event, benefitting the Victory Junction Gang Camp is drawing great support from local restaurants including:   Village Tavern, Stonefield Cellars Winery, Café Pasta & Grille, George Ks, Longhorn Steakhouse, Bonefish Grill, Natty Greens Brewing Co. Panera Bread, Ganache Restaurant & Bakery and many more.  Imagine all of the great food you could eat!

CBL Malls present the Coca-Cola Racing Experience

Coca-Cola and CBL Malls are the driving force behind the Coca-Cola Racing Experience, an exclusive fundraising event for Victory Junction at 10 CBL malls across the country. 

The Coca-Cola Racing Experience includes the Show Car Simulator, an interactive Nextel Cup Show Car with two racing seat simulators where NASCAR fans can compete in virtual races, which includes a real racing engine.  Go head to head with a brand new Modular Simulator which will increase excitement with its state of the art 3 axis motion, which makes you feel like you are in an actual race.  In addition, fans are invited to bring cameras for photo opportunities, which include a customized Harley Davidson Motorcycle with Coca-Cola Classic contour sidecars, and life-sized images of Coca-Cola Family of Drivers.

Victory Junction Booth at the Track

The Victory Junction Gang Camp and the NASCAR Foundation are partnering for two exciting track walks: 

June 2 - Dover Downs Track Walk 

June 30 Victory Junction partners with the Kenny Irwin Foundation for our second annual walk at the New Hampshire International Speedway.
