Victory Junction Gang Camp Tours

If you are ever in the area, then stop by and take a tour...(preferably with a camera, hint, hint):

Victory Junction Offers Tours To The Public: One of the Triads best kept secrets, a place that allows thousands of children suffering from a chronic or serious illness to have life changing camping experiences, is open for public tours. That place is the Victory Junction Gang Camp, a medical camping facility that serves 24 different disease groups, located in Randleman, North Carolina. Public tours are limited during the summer months when camp is in session, so as the weather is warming, the month of May is an excellent time to tour this amazing facility. The Victory Junction Gang Camp is one of the most incredible places I have ever seen, said Lindsey Weir, a Greensboro resident who recently toured the facility. When you drive up to the camp you see the rainbow colored water tower and it sends chills up your spine. The attention paid to detail all to ensure the kids have the times of their lives is amazing. In addition to the Catch, Kiss and Release Marina where campers literally catch a fish, kiss it, and throw it back into the seven acre lake, visitors will also be treated to a glimpse of one of the campers favorite program areas, the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America Water Park. This area is equipped with a zero entry pool and other attractions including a lazy river and a waterslide shaped like a motorcycle. You will also get to view the newest program area, Jimmie Johnsons Victory Lanes (4 lane bowling alley), and will finish up with the large array of animals at the camp, from horses, donkeys, Llamas and possibly a few new editions to the Victory Junction family. We have many donors and volunteers from the Triad, but Im always amazed at how many people have never seen the camp said Eric Pronto Parenteau, Victory Junctions camp director. Whats great about this place is individuals can donate to the camp, and then come out here for a tour and see exactly where their money is going. Victory Junction is truly a special place and I cant tell you the number of times that people come up to me after a tour and say, I had no idea that it was this awesome. The kids must love it.
