I must say very classy guy today. Hopefully Jr. fans and Hendrick fans will learn to co-exist. There really is no other option. I wish Jr. success and I hope his fans take heart and learn from Jr.s own words today. There is a new dawning in motorsports starting today. I for one will cease all Tiny bashing and will hope and pray Tiny's and Jeff's fans will both learn to get along now. Its almost like God has intervened to bring the NASCAR family (fans and employees) together for an even stronger family of people. Go HMS and good-luck to Jr. Guess we'll find out Jr.s talent now cause he will certainly will the equipment now. Peace
PS. Home sick today from my meds so I was lucky enough to watch the news conference. Very impressed with the way tiny (opps) Jr. handled himself.

I'm just hoping Jr. can drive the #8 and keep Budweiser as the sponsor. It won't be as big as a shock to everyone next year.
Jr. said in the press conference that he would prefer to drive the #8. Hendrick said that he'd be willing to trade the #5 to DEI to get the 8. Looks like the ball is in Teresa's court now. I hope she agrees to it.
Well the 8 is up to Teresa! Jr. wants it Rick Hendrick says he'll trade either of his "extra 25 or 5" for it. As far as Bud...don't hold your breath. I've been herein exactly what Matt will said. "Visa" should step in or Kelloggs will stay. Wow, I need A drink.

I wouldn't count Bud out... I think they will be there next year.
Statement from Budweiser: Anheuser-Busch has enjoyed a remarkable relationship with Dale Earnhardt Jr. since our sponsorship commenced back in 1999. Dale Jr. is an excellent ambassador for the sport and our company, and we look forward to exploring options with Hendrick Motorsports and JR Motorsports to continue Budweisers relationship with him as he enters this new stage of his racing career." Per Anheuser-Busch policy, there will not be any additional public comments, nor interview requests granted regarding on-going negotiations or contracts.(fingerprint inc./Budwesier PR)(6-13-2007)
Bud would be idiots to part with Jr.... the man is a cash cow for them.
I expect Kelloggs to stay on the #5 car with Casey Mears driving it. If Hendrick can't get the #8, Jr. will be driving a #25 Bud car.... just like it was many years ago.
i too expect to see the old bud 25 complete with an entirely different paint scheme than this year but we will all have to wait and see . interesting stat to go with all speedy's talk , only gordon , stewart , and johnson have had more wins than jr since he joined cup . i didnt realize that until i saw it on espn today . so much for him not doing anything . i for one am not nor will i ever be a jr fan but i do think he will be a much better , read more consistent , driver in hendricks stable . hendrick is definitely the team to beat now until gordon decides to hang it up be intersting to see if kyle does indeed go to DEI and wreck up all there cars as well , talk about a drain on resources . i think he signed his pink slip by walking away from race jr filled in for him on . was a show of each drivers character and hendrick couldnt help but take notice to that . he is one of the most respected men in nascar and jr will only add to that once people get over the shock . weird thing for me will be jr in a car with all those bright colors. hendrick likes the blues with 3 or 4 accent colors.....blue bud car ? maybe bud light ? time will tell...........
well I'm sure everyone knows Teresa will keep the #8 if nothing but for spite.
I forsee Jr. driving a totally different number, not the 5, 25, or the 8.
I read what Lou posted about Bud wanting to stay but Hendrick just has soooooo many sponsers, how will that work out? Jr. kept referring to his current car as the 'red #8', not the 'Bud Chevy', interesting.
I have am happy for the move to HMS, but then again I did not care where he went. The one question I want answered is.................AM I GONNA HAVE TO REPLACE ALLLLLL MY NUMBER 8 AND BUD STUFF?......LOL. I have alot of money invested in my stuff....lol. I never really cared where Jr went. As long as he went where he wanted to GO! I will always be a fan. My brother is a little excited about it too. We both are really looking forward to next season. We always have a big Daytona 500 party at my house each year, and WE ARE REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO DAYTONA 500 2008!
