I AM EXCITED ABOUT HAVING 3 GOOD DRIVERS, WITH 3 DIFFERENT DRIVING STYLES SO THEY CAN HELP EACH OTHER! THE MAIN REASON I'M EXCITED BECAUSE IT COULD MAKE #24 & #48 BETTER, NOT BECAUSE I LOVE JR. I CAN LEARN TO ROOT FOR HIM SOME BUT NOT LOVE HIM! BUT I HAVE NEVER SAW GORDO FANS THROWING ANTHING AT JR. AFTER HE WINS, AS RARE AS THAT IS! JR. FANS GROW UP AND SHOW SOME CLASS!
Ok, here is my two cents. HMS did not need JR to be successful. However JR does need HMS to reach his goals in life which are to win and win a championship. Now it is up to JR to show his fans he can do this, because there are no more excuses. The biggest thing I see now is JR fans who will abandon him because of being teammates with Jeff. I already see this at work, and am shocked. I would never abandon Jeff even if he went to race for MWR, and missed races. I have been a Ken Schrader fan for over 20 years and he has only won 4 races. ( none since 1991) I didnt care who he drove for, or who his teammates were. A true JR fan would accept this and hopefully he will have a chance to give his fans what they want.....enough said

My thoughts exactly.... those Jr. fans that are abandoning him should be ashamed. At least through all of this he finds out who is true fans are and can get rid of all the bandwagon ones.
Sorry troy, but Jr. make Super G and JJ better? 5 Championships between them and zero for Jr. Tiny's a great driver but Hendricks core of drivers and their stats speaks for themselves. The only one to benefit will be Jr.

just remember, Jr. was able to get 17 wins at DEI who we all agree did not give him great or even good equipment most race days..........consistency is what he needs and will now get.
Next year, it will be Jr. who is the top driver at Hendrick.........something Rick said in the press conference......"I take great pride in being able to to get many different drivers a championship".......or something close to that anyway, that is what makes me think that he will be making sure that Jr. has the best chassis, engine etc..........not to say that he will slack on the others, just he will make sure that Jr.'s is just as good as the senior teams.
And with Jr.'s driving ability, that tells me that he will have the most success next year.
Something I heard on the Sr. vs. Gordon show with Despain...... "I never saw Gordon win with a bad car, but yet we seen Sr. doing it many times"
first of all, the comparisons are with JR, not SR, but we can get into that later. JR has 17 wins sure, with 7 of those restrictor plate races, 3 at Richmond, 2 at Phoenix. These are the only tracks he has won at more than once. It seems he has quite a bit of room for improvement. JR will do well but i doubt he will become his dad and take over the sport. Besides ya ever think it may be his driving style, not his equipment, that keeps him back? He will be getting advice from the best. Question is will he learn from it. Is JR that good, or was it his equipment that won those 17 races? Time will tell, but do not be dissapointed if JR continues to win at his current rate.

ummmmm JR has 7 restrictor plate wins and 4 short track wins. 3 at Richmond and 1 at Bristol. Unless I have had too many bud's, He has more restrictor plate wins than short tracks, and I HATE BUD!!!

by that standard, (most logical), then he has the 3 wins at Richmond, 1 win at Bristol, 1 win at Dover, and 2 wins at Phoenix ..........that makes 7 wins at short tracks
5 wins at Talladega and 2 wins at Daytona also makes 7, (I guess we were both wrong)
just 3 wins on the 1.5 milers, (Chicago, Atlanta, and Texas)..............thats sure to change next year, Hendrick seems to have their stuff to together on those tracks.
Don't forget, that road course victory can come sooner than you think as well.
never heard of Dover and Phoenix called short tracks. the only short tracks are Bristol, Martinsville, and Richmond. These tracks are all shorter than a mile. Guess it doesnt really matter though......lol One thing is sure I will still give the JR fans heck...no matter who he is driving for....just cause I didnt like his dad.

Matts a little Jr. challenged my friend. Short tracks have "ALWAYS" been concidered under a mile, nor will tiny be the #1 driver @ HMS! LMFAOROTF!!! 3rd at best. What I find amazin is all this"inferior equipment" poor tiny has had to use all these years!! LMAO!!! Why haven't we heard this before?? Unbelieveable, those Jr. fans. At least they will finally have something to cheer about now racing with" The hated Hendrick organization"!!! LMAO again. WOW glad I don't have to eat that crow!
