The Future Feud

Well right now it's Dale Jr. fans vs. Jeff Gordon fans. While that feud still has many years left to it I'm sure.... I can see the beginnings of a future battle between Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch fans. Busch is coming up next year into the cup series to replace Terry Labonte. For some reason, DEI wants to keep Truex in the Busch series another year before bringing him up full time in 2006. So , unfortunately the two drivers won't be able to run for the rookie of the year title in 2005.


Right now they are battling for the Busch title, and this past weekend I could see tempers starting to flare between the two. Busch accused Truex of running him into Mike Bliss on pitrow, and later Busch tried to loosen Truex up on the track by running right up to him. After the race Truex closely followed Busch but his crewchief talked him out of doing anything stupid. With only a few races to go, I expect to see these two battle it out a few times.


I personally don't like Kyle Busch. I've heard some stories about him that make me dislike him. I don't care for his brother either.... so the combination of him being a Busch and driving for Hendrick..... enough said.


On the flip side, I've known of Martin Truex Jr. for a few years now. First, he's from my home state of NJ, second, he's cut his teeth on the local tracks by me including Wall Speedway, 30 minutes away (where his cousin Curtis still races). and third, he's now driving for Dale Earnhardt Jr. now! So go Martin! I know he's going to win the Busch series title, that will be a great start for him in the pros.


So possibly starting in 2006, ding ding... round 2.

What a shock, The Prez does not like Kyle Busch and he likes Martin Truex. I would have never gueesed it, I am sure if Kyle Busch was from NJ and he was driving for DEI, do you think our Prez would still hate him?


I like Kyle Busch.


I dont like Martin Truex, JR


In fact I dont like anyone that end in JR

What a shock, JJR does not like Martin Truex Jr and he likes Kyle Busch.  I would have never guessed it, I am sure if Martin Truex Jr. was driving for Hendrick, do you think JJR would still hate him?   NOT!!!


At least I have reasons for liking a driver, and not just because he's gonna be another pretty Hendrick boy.


Poor Terry, the only Hendrick driver that I like is going to be replaced by another cocky know it all. I know it's Terry decision to semi-retire, but did it have to be Kyle Busch to replace him? bah!


It's issues like this from an article earlier in the year, that describes how Busch was fined at a local track for starting trouble with the local racers and trying to show off because he's in the Busch series and they aren't. At least I have a normal reason to not like him, and not just because his name ends in Jr... please.

And just because someone drives for DEI, doesn't mean I like them. Paul Menard is driving a 2nd Chance 2 car, but I don't like him. I don't think he has much talent at all.


Truex definately has talent and is showing it this season!  Plus he's representin' Jersey and Dale Jr! what more can you ask for?

Oh, boo hoo. Did Kyle steal someones milk money in the 1st grade? Did he break up with a girlfriend without calling her?


You claim to be a Sr fan, a guy who wreck guys on purpose every week so he could win a race and you think Kyle is a jerk, SR invented being a jerk. And if truly were a fan of Nascar you would know the Sr was 100 times more popular now than he was when he was racing......

It's someone's own opinion on whether someone is a jerk or not. Just because you think he was doesn't mean everyone else agrees with you. I personally think Gordon and Johnson are asses, but that's just my opionion.


And oh yeah... nobody knew who Dale Sr. was before he died. He wasn't popular at all.....  jeeze....

bringing up the Hendrick/DEI feud again?


Kyle Busch is a great driver, just like Gordon, just like his brother......but his personality is what needs help......his brother learned and he will too....(i personally like Kurt Busch)


as for the feud? Hendrick is bringing him up early because Truex is waiting another year (Jr.'s decision, no one else).......Kyle wants to have a chance at the rookie of the year...remember what happened to Newman/Johnson....either could have won...they just had the misfortune of coming up together.


no, i think the real feud is going to be Truex and Earnhardt......Waltrip will be long gone and they will both want to be top dog at DEI......not saying they wont get along, just that they will fuel each other to be better...both are hell of race car drivers.


(guys, its okay to root for someone thats not in your fav. drivers camp, thats what makes you a NASCAR fan)
