Since it is going to take awhile for the Cup teams to be formed and set-up, I think it might be best to hold forming Busch and Truck teams for a year.
I'm still waiting to hear from a few members, then we have to hold the draft for those members in the pool. I also need to set up new pages for those teams. In addition to all of the year-end updates and creating new cars for all Cup players, I don't think we will have enough time.
Its probably best to see how the teams will work in the Cup series first before we go and move to other series. If it works out well, we can expand to the Busch Series in 2009. The Truck series teams can be set that year or perhaps the next. By then the Truck Series will be a very stabilized league which will make it easier to set up teams.
So I apologize to those Busch and Truck players who were eager to set up teams right away. It will be coming, just a little later.
that's too bad, I was looking forward to the teams next year, I think it's a great concept. Understandable why you'd want to wait a bit though. That's cool.... makes it even more of an anticipation.
Thanks, I'm looking forward to it too. Once we have Cup teams set up, they will affect what the teams will look like in the 2 other series. Besides, some Cup players may not return to the Busch and Truck Series with the fee now.... I'll have to wait and see what it will look like.
I think a number of players in the Cup series are waiting till the season ends before they set up their teams for next year.
