Don't Look Now....

But the Braves are making it very interesting down to the wire...

 NY Mets8770.558--
 Philadelphia8572.5452.0
 Atlanta8374.5264.0

-Mets magic number is 4.
5 games left to play.

Everyone, including myself, counted the Braves out of this a couple of weeks ago, but at least mathematically, they are still very much in this.

and the wildcard standings...
 San Diego Padres (6)8571--6
 Philadelphia Phillies85720.55
 Colorado Rockies84721.06
 Atlanta Braves83742.55

very interesting indeed.

all that, and now there are reports that Glavine could be headed back to Atlanta in the offseason, although if he pitches like he did tonight, we don't want him, lol.

Yeah, I don't know what's been going on with the Mets lately... it's hard to believe a team that was playing so great during the season can play so badly in the last month. I just hope they can hold on for the final few games of the season.
I can honestly say last night was one of the very few times that I was actually cheering for the Braves. Thanks for beating Philly!

LOL ok.... well the Braves have no shot at the NL East title... in fact after tonight, I believe they are eliminated from it.

They have three teams ahead of them for the Wildcard.... Padres, Phillies, Rockies.

Right now the Phillies are beating the Braves  The other two teams play tonight. I would be amazed if the Braves managed to get in.

In all honesty, it really looks like Cleveland's year to me.

Mets and the Braves sucked this year.

I don't think I've seen a team collapse so much as the Mets have done this month. Looks like they have given up or something, it's pathetic.

It's worse for Mets fans because we actually thought they might have some kind of run through the post-season. The Braves has stunk it up consistantly all year long, so you knew where you were with them.

Oh well, three games left... Mets and Phillies both tied for first place. I'm hoping the Mets can somehow pull it off and take the division, but the way the Phillies have played lately, it probably won't happen.

guess it won't matter too much anyway, because either Cleveland or LA will be winning the WS this year.
