This may not happen..but. What would yall say to a second Cup series? Lou wouldn't have time to pamper it like the primary league but it would be Cup! I'm boucining some ideas around and yalls responces would be apreciated. No matter it might not happen... but maybe it could. Your replies could make a BIG difference.

Well I personally do not want to give up the Busch series myself, so my vote is to keep it. I am exploring options of possibly running some type of second cup series that doesn't take much maintenance, but I think it will be something for 2009.... I have too much going on this off-season to think about adding something else.
Well I'm not talking about dropping any leagues. Just helping Lou with a possible extra league. Lou and I are discussing possiblities. I'm thinking most people here would like some sort of cup racing while waiting to join the "big" league. Keep in mine peeps, I have a league at ESPN every year thats free to play as well. am game for checking it out as well but not at expense of what we have here . i personally havent had much luck in your league this year but will continue to run as long as youll have me. would love something with similar fomat as here where you can understand scoring and where you rank. i play in several leagues that i honestly have no idea whos doing good or how but just like to compete
I have an ideal, but dont know if it would go over very well. I would say in 2008 add 10 teams to the cup and have the teams outside the top 35 have to qualify to race just like Nascar. You would only have to calculate the teams needing to get in the field after Qualifing using their picks to see who gets in. even if a team didnt make a race you could still give them points for 44th to 53rd each race and if there were ties in qualifing then the team with the most points for the season would get to race. It would make 35th place battle more important and you could add ten more teams to the Cup League. Just a thought
Actually I did toy with the idea of having teams outside the top 35 make the race, but I didn't think it would go over to well with a lot of people further down in the standings. They're paying for a season and would want to make all the races. Plus if I went by how their picks qualified, it would be a lot of extra work for myself since I would have to calculate qualifying efforts each week somehow.
I could possibly take the highest scores of those teams outside the top 35 after the race was completed. The lowest 10 scores wouldn't make the field. However, I don't know how that would go over.
