Yesterday me and the wife attended the 2008 Motorsports Show in Atlantic City, our 6th consectuive year of attending it.
This time the highlight was meeting Martin Truex Jr. and getting his autograph. I got 2 1/24 cars autographed... his 2007 COT car and 2007 Bass Pro shops 35th Anniversary car. He was a real nice guy and burst out laughing when I said I bet he'd rather be fishing now.
We also sat in on an hour q&a with Kenny Wallace and Ken Schrader. Those two are a riot and are as down to earth as you can get. They are just like you see them on tv, except they were able to use more "colorful" language here. Even saw Ken Schrader just walking around afterwords, stopping to get a hot dog and eat before signing autographs. I bought a Ken Schrader M&M's car and an older Kenny Wallace Busch car that they autographed.
Picked up a few other cars as well and had a good time. I'll get some pictures up online soon.
That sounds like a great time. Man, I sure wish we had something like that around here in North Dakota. Only thing we get around here is once a year we get a car or two come through for a showing. Wait a few years ago I meet Rusty Wallace that was pretty cool. I cann't wait to see the photos.
