I finally finished the stats for the 2007 driver picks. You can see each of your driver pick stats on your driver's page. I also completed the league wide stats page as well. Who was the most popular driver pick for 2007?
Same driver as it was last year.... despite Gordon and Johnson dominating most of the races, it was Tony Stewart who pulled through as the most popular driver again. Every member picked him this year. Lowest amount of times was 4 and the highest amount was 34.
Coming in 2nd place was Jeff Gordon who is up a spot from last year. There was only one member who did not utilize him at least once all year long.
Despite Dale Jr's struggles last year, he remained a popular pick as always but falls one spot from 2nd to 3rd place.
Jimmie Johnson won the championship for the 2nd year in a row but he can only muster up enough popularity to stay in fourth place on the ranking order.
Rounding out the top 5, despite a horrible season, was Kasey Kahne who gained 3 spots this year. Guess people kept thinking he would turn it around... never did happen.
The most spots a driver gained was Juan Montoya who jumped 30 spots this year. Montoya only raced in a handful of races in 2006. He comes in 24th place in his rookie year. Amazingly enough the 2nd highest jump was Dave Blaney with 29 spots!
Falling the most was Jeremy Mayfield who fell 31 spots after not having a ride for most of the year.
Numbers that are in red are the teams who used that particular driver the most. If you scroll all the way over to the right, you will see the difference between 2006 and 2007. Please note, I didn't calculate all the results from the 2006 season since I didn't do the stats for those teams that left after that year. This year I did them for everyone including the 2 members that left.
