noticed before that the July Daytona race was now the 'Coke 400'.........now it makes sense......

Pepsi Named California Title Sponsor
California Speedway has announced a multi-year agreement with Pepsi to serve as the title sponsor for the Speedways fall NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race. The race which traditionally takes place at the end of the Labor Day weekend and this year will run on August 31, 2008 will now be known as the Pepsi 500. In addition to its role as the title sponsor of the race, Pepsi will continue to serve as the official soft drink and non-alcoholic beverage provider of the Speedway, a designation the brand has held since 1997.

actually it's the Coke Zero 400 to be more precise. You can actually go and vote on two diferent logos for the race as well.

The Nationwide series also has a race sponsored by Pepsi for the last few years, the Pepsi 300 at Nashville.

I went with logo #2.......bottle with checkered flag design is more predominant in this one.

I initially liked logo #1 first, but after really looking at both, I also like #2 better.
