Karen's obituary


I was able to locate a much nicer obituary for Karen which was posted on the Taylor Funeral home website, which her services were performed on Thursday.

Karen Yvette Evans "Red" Smith

Funeral services for Karen Yvette Evans Smith, affectionately known to her friends and family as Red, age 48, of Dickson, were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2008 from the New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Matthew Lester officiating. Place of rest was in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.  Services are under the direction of Taylor Funeral Home.  Ms. Smith died Sunday. July 20, 2008 at Horizon Medical Center.

 An avid NASCAR and Jeff Gordon fan, Karen was a native of Dickson County and was the daughter of Reed Hill and Mary Ann Neal Evans.  She was the manager of Behind Times Antiques and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

 She is survived by her son, Antonio Maurice Smith, Dickson; her daughters, Akendra Marvette Evans and Abril Marvella Smith, both of Dickson; her parents, Reed and Mary Ann Evans, Dickson; her two brothers, Daron Evans and Aaron Evans, both of Dickson; her granddaughter, Avana Maribella Smith; nieces, Marissa Evans, Dara Evans, and Brittany Evans; nephew, Shawn Evans; and two sisters-in-law, Wanda Evans and Stephanie Evans.
