February 10, 2005) - Jeff Gordon will drive a special reverse DuPont paint scheme in the NEXTEL All-Star Challenge. Also, Kyle Busch will sport a Star Wars Episode III paint scheme at Richmond in May that will feature Darth Vader.
(February 8, 2005) -Bobby Hamilton Jr. will race a 'blue' Tide Coldwater paint scheme in the Daytona 500. Tide Coldwater is the latest addition to the Tide family of detergents.
(February 4, 2005) - Carl Edwards has added two more primary sponsors on his No. 99 Ford in 2005 with Ortho and World Financial Group. The black, gray and yellow Ortho Season Long Grass and Weed Killer paint scheme will race at Talladega in May. World Financial will be on the car at California (First race), Las Vegas, Atlanta (First race) and Phoenix (First race).
(January 27, 2005) - Casey Mears will help smokers "Kick the habit" with a Nicorette nicotine gum paint scheme at Atlanta in March.
(January 25, 2005) - Brian Vickers' No. 25 Chevrolet will have a bright green Garnier Fructis (Haircare brand owned by L'Oreal USA) color scheme at Texas Motor Speedway (First race) and at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in August. Garnier Fructis will also be a major associate sponsor.
(January 18, 2005) - Jasper Engines & Transmissions will return as the primary sponsor of the No. 77 Dodge driven by Travis Kvapil for four races in 2005. The scheduled races for the Jasper car are: Texas (April), Dover (June), Chicago (July) and Atlanta (October).
(January 7, 2005) - Tony Stewart will commemorate James Dean's career with a special paint scheme on a Kevin Harvick owned Chevrolet in the Busch Series event at Indianapolis Raceway Park on August 6th, the 50th anniversary of Dean's death.
UPDATE: Hearing Jeff Gordon will run a TBA movie paint scheme at Talladega in May. Back in December I said Gordon possibly could run a Star Wars scheme with Dale Jarrett and Elliott Sadler at Phoenix. Could this be the Star Wars scheme? Just a thought: Pepsi, who usually sponsors Gordon in the Spring Talladega race, sponsored Gordon in the Busch Series and Star Wars Episode I was featured on the car at Lowe's Motor Speedway in 1999.
(January 6, 2005) - Dale Jarrett will help promote the movie "Herbie: Fully Loaded" with a special paint scheme at Richmond in May. This is the same movie, which features Lindsay Lohan, Matt Dillon and Michael Keaton, that was filmed during the 2004 Pop Secret 500 weekend Sept. 3-5 at California Speedway.
Also, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. will race the blue Menards car in the Busch Series race in April at Talladega. Last season he finished second in this event driving the Taco Bell car.
Finally, Michael Waltrip and Kyle Petty have been added to the Mother's Day special paint scheme program at Darlington.
(December 29, 2004) - CARQUEST Auto Parts, who sponsored Kyle Busch's part-time NEXTEL Cup effort in 2004, will return this season as primary sponsor of the No. 5 Chevrolet in five races. The races are California (First race), Bristol (First race), Lowe's (First race), Kansas and Texas (Second race).
(December 28, 2004) - Greg Biffle's No. 16 Ford will be sponsored by Post-It notes for nine races in 2005 starting at California. The other races that will feature the red, white and blue Post-It paint scheme are the first races at Atlanta (First race), Texas (First race), Darlington, Pocono (First race), Infineon, Chicago, Talladega (Second race) and Phoenix (Second race).
(December 20, 2004) - Kurt Busch will race another Sharpie special paint scheme at both Bristol races in 2005 featuring the retractable autographs for education marketing program. The No. 97 will carry the familiar Sharpie black colors and the autographs for education logo on the hood and rear quarter panels. Last Spring, Busch put the Sharpie 40th Anniversary car in Victory Lane at Bristol and placed eighth in the August event (Sharpie 500) driving the Sharpie RT Click paint scheme.
(December 19, 2004) -Evernham teammates Jeremy Mayfield and Kasey Kahne will sport retro themed paint schemes in the Bud Shootout at Daytona. Also Kahne will return with another Mountain Dew paint scheme at California in February.
(December 18, 2004) - Dale Jarrett will celebrate Mother's Day at Darlington with a special paint scheme that will feature a childhood picture of Dale riding in his Dad's race car.
(December 9, 2004) - Elliott Sadler, Dale Jarrett and possibly Jeff Gordon will celebrate the opening (May 19, 2005) of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith with special paint schemes scheduled to race at Phoenix. Sadler's M&M's car will feature "The Dark Side" with the M&M's characters dressed up as Darth Vader and other members of the dark side. Jarrett will also have M&M's on his car? and will feature "The Good Side" with characters like R2-D2 and Princess Leia. No word yet on if Gordon will participate.
(December 3, 2004) - Jamie McMurray, who rasies money for the Autism Society of America, will race a ASA paint scheme at Bristol in April.
(December 2, 2004) - Dale Earnhardt Jr. will return with three Bud Born on Date paint schemes at Daytona in February.
(December 1, 2004) - Jamie McMurray will race five different Texaco/Havoline "Shine On" paint schemes in 2005. McMurray will drive the first special paint scheme at Texas on April 17.
(November 28, 2004) - In 2005, Robert Yates teammates Elliott Sadler and Dale Jarrett will split driving duties in the Busch Series driving the No. 90 red, white and blue CitiFinancial Ford.

(November 23, 2004) - Mark Martin will race another Kraft paint scheme in the 2005 Budweiser Shootout at Daytona. The red, white and blue paint scheme will help showcase Kraftfoods.com and a new promotion where you can win free groceries for life.
(November 18, 2004) - AAPA Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper will sponsor Evernham Motorsports' No. 79 Dodge and drivers Kasey Kahne and Jeremy Mayfield in two NASCAR Busch races in 2005. Kahne will race the July 17 event at New Hampshire and Mayfield will be behind the wheel of the new Dodge at Lowe's Motor Speedway in October. AAPA will also sponsor Bill Elliott and the No. 91 Dodge in the Nextel Cup Series at Michigan in August and Texas in November.
(November 16, 2004) - USG/Sheetrock, which sponsored Joe Nemechek this season, will be on Matt Kenseth's No. 17 Ford for selected races in 2005. The car will look similar to Nemechek's No. 01 that carried the Red, White and Blue USG colors. Carhartt will also return as a sponsor of the No. 17 next season. This year Kenseth raced the Carhartt paint scheme at Michigan in June.
(November 9, 2004) - Rusty Wallace will kick off his "Last Call" 2005 retirement tour with a special black paint scheme at Daytona. (Not sure if it will be the Shootout, 500 or both). The car will feature the "Last Call" logo on the hood along with the Miller Lite graphics. The No. 2 will remain white, unlike the gold No. 2 on the tribute car that was unveiled at the press announcement back in August.
(November 1, 2004) - Trex Decking and Railing Corp. will sponsor Matt Kenseth at the 2005 Atlanta Spring race. The car will be black with a silver/gray front end that will streak towards the rear of the car. Trex will be present on the rear quarter-panels and on the hood. Dewalt will remain on the decklid.
Dale Jr. will also have another special paint scheme run this year, not known what though. Watching QVC last week with Jr. on they announced the 4 car auto delivery program again this year. The 4th is unknown, but I'm sure it'll be another baseball one keeping with the tradition of the last few years.
