There will be three spots open to join the league next year. Contact me if you want to join up. Only serious inquiries please. A fantasy league is best enjoyed when all members participate fully all season long. This past season was very fun and exciting considering most of us had never played fantasy baseball before.
Each new team will pick two players (Keepers) to be held over from the '08 roster. Which two players will be totally your choice and don't worry, there are good players on these teams, so you won't get stuck with crappy ones right off the bat.
Drafting postion is still to be determined by a vote being held by current owners. More to be announced at a later date.
If you are interested and willing to commit to the full season and want to have some fun with the Pine-Tar crew, contact me here on the board or via PM or email.
(Wendal, feel free to post this in your boards as well.)
Just wondering how you are going to handle the keepers for the replacement teams?
Will each new team only be able to select 2 keepers that were both on a ghost team or will they have their choice of any two players on all three teams?
Also how will you decide who gets first choice? First come first serve, or a lottery?
Yes, first owner to join the league will get their pick of which ghost team they want to acquire with the knowledge that they will only be keeping 2 players from said team.
There will be no mixing of players between the teams.
Third and last replacement owner will get whichever team is left, but again, all three teams have good players.
Draft Order positions for these three teams will be decided upon by current owners since you guys were there during the inaugural season. It still is not known whether they will be drafting in the last three spots or according to where those three teams ended up in the final standings.
There are positives and negatives to each scenario. The team with the better Keepers could have a slightly less advantageous Draft position.
Bottom Line - as with most things in life, the early bird gets the worm.
