Cup series Poll

How many people would like to see the Cup series switch to 2 digit #'s rather than the 3 digit ones we use now?

For those that aren't aware, the first # is the season that you joined the league.

Our time is limited with that number system anyway, since if we make it 10 years, I don't want to have 4 digit #'s on the car.

If enough people wanted to change, we could pick regular car #'s in order that we joined the league.

Take a vote and let us know then the council could vote on it quickly.

I know I'm not in the Cup Series but, I think going with just the two numbers is good. You made a good point with if a person would join up in year 10.

You mean, when we make it 10 years! smile

I'm all for the number changes, great idea.

lol... I just take it one year at a time.

Also, if we go for it, I think we will adopt what FASCAR has done with their numbers.... The #3 will not be available to pick, that will stay a retired number.

Also, they have retired a number for Karen Smith, I think its only fitting that we do the same here. It will be #22, which was Karen's #.

Great Idea Guys -- I just thought it was something that we could do for the late great Karen Smith. She was such a great player and this way she will alwayz be with us on Race Day.

I like the idea of three digits telling us all what year we joined in. This numbering system wouldn't be a problem until year 11 though.......year 10 could start with a zero. Those are just my thoughts.

I see why everyone likes the two digit idea, but for me, thats just a LuckyDog niche with the three numbers.

I think Lou knows my answer on this one, I think I have asked him 4 or 5 times if we could go to 2 numbers instead of 3. I just like the look of the 2 numbers, What would be cool is, let the numbers be picked by team owners for their cars. Just like Cup owners own their numbers, it would be like the owners owned the cars that we drive. If some one changed teams then they would go to a new car, new number, and new sponsor.

Well if the council votes on it we can figure out how to distribute the numbers. I guess it would depend on the individual teams and members.

Nathan, I like that idea alot actually........but we would need the support of the single car teams on that rule for it to work I would think because essentially they would get the bottom of the barrel on picking numbers unless all teams picked one number then the second number and so on and so forth until all numbers were picked for the 43 cars.

Much like a stick and ball draft.

I THINK we ought to pick our 2 digit numbers by our finishing order in the standings at the end of the year! when your turn to pick if the number you want is available then its yours! i think i should be able to pick my own number! if you dont want to use just this one years standings then we can use our overall average standings! i love my team ,but that should be my decision!
