After not going to one in 2004, me and my wife we'll be heading to one this year! We had to pick something cheap since we have to get a new tv since our current one is just on its last legs. HDTV here we come!
Anyway, we picked Dover in September, the second race in the chase. Should be pretty fun, as we've never been to Dover yet. Been to Pocono twice and Daytona once. So instead of heading back to Pocono, thought we'd try something new since it's about the same distance.
What's even better, I have cousins out there who said we can stay at their house and save on a hotel. They might even join us at the track.
So looks like I'm going to need some help from the Vice President or one of the council members that weekend. I think for that week I'll have all the picks go to them, and they can provide a link to them via the message board. Obviously the results will be updated the next day. But, thats awhile off yet, so we'll worry about it then.
Maybe I'll wear my Lucky Dog Racing t-shirt at the track!
Thats cool Lou. I'm going to be going to my first Nascar Race this year too.... I'll be at Kansas City in Oct. I have a friend there and he and I will go to the race. I got permission from his wife and my hubby since neither of them are real big nascar fans. Going to stay with them to save on hotel myself. I can't wait. As of yet the tickets haven't gone on sale. But as soon as they do (check daily) he will be at the ticketmasters for them. He lives only 20 - 30 minutes from the track. Trick is I'll have to wear a lucky dog shirt and a mudcat1 on the back.

I like when new teams win, especially those that didn't win last year. Of course I don't like it as much as me winning, but oh well. :) Heck, I'll be happy when I get my first top ten this season.
