Final Las Vegas TV Ratings up 10%: Final Nielsen Media
Research figures show that Fox's broadcast of last Sunday's UAW/DaimlerChrysler
400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway earned a 6.4 rating and a 14 share, today's href="http://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/">Sports Business Daily reports.
The rating is 10.3% higher than 2004's 5.8, although it was well short of 2003's
6.9. The race was easily the most-watched sports program of the weekend, well
ahead of the 4.9/10 that CBS drew for the selection of the teams for the NCAA's
men's basketball tournament.(NASCAR

Maybe you just dont get it, there are 30 college games A DAY. There is 1 NASCAR race a week. If there was 1 college game a week it would kill NASCAR.

Consider that there 6 college games on the same time as NAscars 4 hr race, the college games had 10 times the viewers as NASCAR.

lets just re-open this discussion at the college basketball finals against whichever race is on that weekend....there will be no excuses then.

I think JJR's original point was that the league is slanted toward Jr, not nascar vs other sports.

Nothing make me more happen then to see the NBA with a 1.8 rating.....


How come no one brings up Pro Wrestling ratings?

'pro wrestling' can only be compared to soap operas.......all entertainment and no real stats or victories on the line.

First I have been a NASCAR Fan for 30+ years. They are loosing me fast. Thank GOD for Carl Edwards to pull out this weekend. Rules on top of rules. No speedometer but radar to track the speed. Who say's the radar is right. The big effort to make the PC people like NASCAR. Screw them The best drivers have to be out there not the best Woman or Afro American or what ever. Heavy handed NASCAR will be the end of the sport. Lets let them race and get rid of DW saying how great NASCAR is and they never do no wrong and the rest of his buddy's in the booth. Well thanks I feel better. OH yes please don't label me as some southern Redneck have not seen many up here in Boston!
