Very soon the new group for the 2009 season of Lucky Dog's Pine Tar will be set up. Last year we had a lot of fun and there was definately some rivalries taking place. This year will be no different.

We are looking for three new teams this year to replace some members that either left mid season or didn't do anything with their teams during the year. We're looking for someone who will remain active and stay involved.

If you are interested please let us know by posting here. Matt Sealey is the league commissioner and will send you the information once you are accepted.

We will need three more managers for the upcoming season, so let me know if you are interested as soon as possible.
All three new managers will pick two keepers from the three '08 teams that aren't returning. First come first serve for which team you get. (you can of course change the name of the team....you are only keeping two players from the '08 roster).

Sorry guys, I wont be making the Pine Tar League this year. Been cutting back on my Fantasy leagues and im just sticking with the ones I know (some what) Football and Racing. Good Luck and enjoy

If you go under the archive of your user profile it gives you your roster. I had trouble with that too.

Just got my email today about the leagues...it will be up shortly.

As far as the new teams, no, we still need to fill the four other slots....no one has emailed me yet. I hope we don't have to wait until the last minute to fill them, it might hurt us that Wendal is also opening a baseball league this year....they may go to him and try to start up completely fresh rather than get two keepers right off the bat before the draft with us.

I like the idea of a league building history but I can see how someone may choose to go with his league first. We will see, feel free to mention it in a league wide email though.

Remember Gang, first to speak up gets their pick of which of the four open teams they want to choose their keepers from!

Just to clarify again, the 2009 Draft Order will be:

1- Team #4
2- Team #3
3- Team #1
4- Baker Boys
5- Team #2
6- Indiana Underdogs
7- Rednex Relievers
8- J-rod's Nine
9- Marlton Intimidators
10- Black+Gold YatesFan

We have potential managers interested with one already signed up. When you guys pick which team you want to take control over, keep in mind which of the guys you will want to keep as well as where you will be drafting.

The new team name will be The Brentwood Slashers and they will be drafting fifth this year.
