yeh, they kill me when they talk about the streak of sellouts and then pan the crowd and you see all the empty seats.

Saw the attendance was around 94,500 The track holds 125,000

wow that's pretty sad... don't know why, Atlanta has some great racing there.

Although seems like a lot of Atlanta residents don't take to any kind of sports.

Take a look at the attendance at Braves, Falcons, Hawks and Thrashers games.... ok, well there could be a reason for that, lol  biggrin

Atlanta is a horrible sports town.....there is no doubt there..........the only time the teams get support is if they get into the playoffs.

Of course, the teams usually don't try to get to the playoffs that much. The Braves did for 14 straight years, but look at all those years before that as well.

I went to the 2006 Atlanta spring race. It was the most boring race I've ever been to. Only 6 cautions I think, five for debris and one for a wreck, involving Kahne, my son's favorite driver at the time. The only saving grace to it was the last 20 laps between J.J. and Stewart were awesome... except I don't really like either of them too much.
