Does anybody else feel like they are cursed in a certain series? I cannot win in the Nationwide series if my life depended on it! One time, I tied for first in a race, but got second because the person I tied with was higher in the standings! I am not complaining because those are the rules. I am complaining because I was 2nd place in the standings!!!....that right, I tied the team that was in 1st place! There was only one team I had to beat and I could not even do it! To make it worse, it was my cousin, Bob Douce! If anybody else wants to vent....feel free. I will warn you though....in no way does if mean the curse will be lifted....if it did, I would have posted this a long time ago.
I kind of feel that way in the Truck series. Yeah, I earned enough top 5's and top 10's last year to win the Championship last year, but for the life of me I can't win a race there. I want so much to finally win a Truck race so I can have a win in all three series along with the LROC series.
When not winning here in the fantasy leagues provokes such a reaction. (I've been prone to throw an item or two when that one driver who is dominating decides to wreck out or something just because I picked him that week)
I got 4 wins in my first year in the Busch Series at lucky Dog, but have struggled since. The way we pick drivers has changed alot since then, we had to pick Busch drivers and were alowed just 2 Cup drivers and they were all in one group. I know picking drivers is the same for everyone and no one has a real advantage with the way we pick, but I seem to struggle with the Cup drivers in the Nation Wide Series. Its not uncommon to have 4 Cup drivers on a Nation Wide team at most races. I seem to always pick the Cup driver who has a bad day, and that same driver the following week goes crazy and sure enough I didnt pick him that week. It looks like after I was invited into Cup I gave up on the Busch/Nation Wide Series, but I have tried to repeat the success of my first year and just cant get a hold on it. I will keep trying and hopefuly I can make a run at the title. Good Luck at Darlington
