Just as I thought....


Truex Jr. Comments about rumors: There have been reports that Martin Truex Jr. might leave DEI, however at Texas he tried to clear up those rumors telling PRN's Garagepass..."I don't know where these people come up with these things. You know we're in negotiations trying to get our contract signed for the next three years and I guess somebody knows about it and thinks we're out there looking for a ride...I think it's pretty stupid." When asked if he could imagine leaving DEI and Dale Earnhardt Jr., Truex said..."No I never even thought about it to be honest with you...it's just people talking."(PRN's Garage Pass Radio Show)(4-18-2005)

the Ward Burton/#11 rumor was squashed as well.

Yep, he'll probably stay. Nothings signed yet though. Gordon was in this exact situation and left ford. Too much talent out there for a bidding war anyway. The way things are going Jr. might not be with DEI in 3 years. That organization better get it together quick or NASCAR's beloved prince won't make the c4c.

Jr. will be fine. Things are starting to gel now with both Waltrip's and Jr's teams. They both finished in the top 10 in Texas. I figured Jr. would have a good run, but who would expect Waltrip?  Jr's in 15th place now and I believe he'll be back in the top 10 in a few weeks.


Both teams have had to adjust to all the changes going on but things are starting to gel now. The one team that should start to worry is Joe Gibbs Racing. All three drivers are struggling there.
