Hey Lou, let me know if I am understanding this correctly. I picked Menard as my claim jumper and due to rain, he DNQ'd. Does this mean I can use him again, since he never had the chance?
5. If you pick a claim jumper, but he doesn't actually qualify for the race, you can use him again.
If the driver does attempt to qualify but fails to make the field, you may not use him again.
Ok, I have a question then too if we can use Paul Menard again why are we getting docked -10 pts then for using Paul Menard then. To me we already used him even though he didnt race.

If you choose a bonus driver and he does not make the field, it will still count for your one pick during the year.

Rainouts: If qualifying is canceled due to rain or some other cause, the 10 point penalty for a driver not making the field remains in effect, so be sure to watch the weather or pick a different driver that is less of a risk.
However, since your bonus pick did not actually get to qualify, you can use him again.
Ok I am more confused now. I agree with the -10 points. However...in order to get the -10 points we had to pick a driver. So...why can we use that driver again? If he had attempted to qualify but blew up on pit road before entering the track...would that qualify as an attempt?
