Taking bets... how many people choosing Jr?

For Talladega, I say 35 people choose him.       15 as superstar.

Any takers?

Last two weeks have seen DEI on a upswing.(course where else could it have gone considering their less than impressive start?) I'd have to agree if you were to take DEI cars now would seem to be the time! However lets not forget DEI no longer has a stranglehold at the plate tracks as HMS has definitely caught if not passed them as recent plate results would show. Lets just hope The smaller gas tanks keep them spread out a liitle. Lets also hope Earnhardt fans can keep there beer cans in the stands and show some class this time. There's been many unpopular race results thru-out the years but Little E fans by far showed their colors like no other. I'm sure security will be in force. I might take a couple hour drive west and catch the race. Good luck to all at Talladega!

that would be a good bet. Welcome speed. I think the 24 fans show there true colors but no one noticed the 2 beer cans on the track.

but again welcome

Thanks for the hospitality James. Guess I'll just be racin around by myself this year. Maybe I can steal a win or two. Anyway, happy to be here. Unfortunate circumstances to get in but what's a race fan to do? Maybe a few of yall will come race the second and thrid segments in my league. Formats are similar except Carl Edwards cost alot more.

Carl Edwards will be costing a lot more after Darlington, the next race. Thats when all the salaries will be changing.

I think they were just a tad upset last time. So what do you think the fans will do for an encore if he wins again?

RE: Taking bets... how many people choosing Jr?

Jr. has to be the top pick for his proven ability on the restrictor plate tracks especially Talladega.  However Gordon #24 is also well proven I believe.  Both are obviously good picks but I have a thought on the matter. We have to remember the greatest determining factor in restrictor plate racing today....OH yeah drafting.  Jr. unfortunately hasn't been seeming to get much help lately and only has one real definate partner in Waltrip.  Maybe the dynamic duo can steal the show, but I doubt it. The Roush and Hendrix teams have their own multi car stables, plus the other teams they supply engines for to work with. My prediction would be while Jr. will place in the top 10 as well as Mikey.  I think one of the two larger teams will win again.  As for Jimmy Johnson, I have a feeling he may end up wrecked and out this week.  He managed to wreck some fairly unforgiving individuals last week.

Plus It is Talladega and just maybe the BIG-ONE takes out all the favorites and the winner is:

Kyle Petty #45

Good luck with your picks and have a great weekend.

Tooz, I'd have to question your racing knowledge if you really think Gordon won't finish on the lead lap. I really don't care for Jr. ( cause I've met Daddy E, what a piece of work. ) but even I give Jr. credit where gredit is due. He's a factor at Tally.. just like Gordon. Only thing that could keep Gordon from finishing on the lead lap is the same thing that could keep tiny e from finishing on the lead lap, some boneheaded move by someone causing the " big one ". Just my take on it but I think most would agree with that statement. Don't hate Tooz! Yall have a good one.

bone-headed move?

oh, like what Johnson and Gordon keep doing each week to take out their competitors that have a shot at winning?

WTF!! When did JJ get brought in to this. Being an Earnhardt fan you don't have any room to fret over a little bumping. EVERYONE learned that from the Earnhardts!! Plus Gordon is one of the cleanest drivers out there. Tell ya what. Go to the library. Get some Nascar books, read them and get some knowledge so you don't remove all doubt about about your nascar knowledge. Tony Stewart break checked JJ as well. On ALL replays it clearly showed Tony's rotor's a bright orange. ( Now Tooz, that means he was on the brakes hard. I'll splain it to ya.) Don't expect everyone to agree, especially Gordon and tiny e fans but at least have the facts. Like I said earlier, I hope JG & E finish 1-2.

what do you do when entering a turn? you touch the brakes!! i may not know alot but i know enough to listen to D. Waltrip on the subject given his prior experience in these things....

he said, its a racing deal but Johnson had plenty of time and opportunity to not let that happen. its either tap the brakes or end up in the wall.......well, Johnson made sure of it.

and 24 being a clean driver? gimme a break.....im not saying Earnhardt is clean......if all racers were, it would be boring.......there is a difference between tap someone to get them a little loose, and taking a contender out by slamming them into the wall or another competitor.
