Hows it going, My favorite driver from 1984 to 2000 was Darrell Waltrip. In 2000 I found myself wondering who will take his place. So I decided on someone who had yet to prove they could run with the big boys, Sure I could have went with Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt or Mark Martin but I went with Dale Jr. Ive been into Racing for about 21 years, I remember the days of sitting by the radio because not alot of TV coverage back then. The first time I went to a race was October 06, 1985 at the Miller 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway Cale Yarborough won the race. Back in the 80s I lived in Thomasville NC. which was about 45 min from Charlotte. I went 3 more times and got to see DW win the 600 a week after Rusty turned him around coming out of turn 4 when he was leading the Winston with two laps to go. I also made three trips to Rockingham. I moved to Kentucky in 1991 and have not been to a Cup race since. I hope one day the new Nashville Speedway gets a Cup date, Im only about 2 hours from there and I belive I would have to go again theres nothing like being there. This looks like a great League and im glad to be here, Hope to make some new friends and new rivals.

Although I had moved to Hotlanta by that time. And as you, I was a Jaws fan!! Could NEVER root for an Earnhardt after meeting Dale Sr. though. What an azzhole. Never did really care for ol' DW myself, was an Earnhardt fan. These days I root for Jr and Truex Jr. who is from my home state.
I know what you mean about being at the track. You should go even if it's further from you. Make a weekend out of it. We've only been to three races so far.... 2 at Pocono and the Pepsi 400 at Daytona. It's been two years since we've been to a race but we're going to 2 this year. Back to Pocono in July and trying out Dover in September. Should be fun!
