(January 7, 2005) - Tony Stewart will commemorate James Dean's career with a special paint scheme on a Kevin Harvick owned Chevrolet in the Busch Series event at Indianapolis Raceway Park on August 6th, the 50th anniversary of Dean's death. (February 17, 2005) - Kasey Kahne will make a return in his popular "Pit Cap" paint scheme at Indianapolis in August. This season the car will feature a reverse paint scheme that will take after the car he debuted at Darlington in 2004. (February 27, 2005) - Jeff Gordon will return with another Pepsi paint scheme in the Pepsi 400 at Daytona in July. The last two years Gordon was seen driving a Pepsi Billion Dollar scheme in the “Mid-Summer Classic" and in 2002, Gordon raced a red, white and blue Fourth of July design. (March 15, 2005) - Bill Elliott will be back behind the wheel of the McDonald's Dodge for two races this season after the company signed a partnership agreement with Evernham Motorsports. The deal will give McDonald's primary sponsorship on Elliott's No. 91 (Should be able to run the No. 91 not No. 98 since they signed an agreement) at Michigan in June and California in September. They will also be an associate with Kasey Kahne and Elliott - when he's not running the McDonald's colors. (March 31, 2005) - Dale Earnhardt Jr. will rock Richmond in September as the band 3 Doors Down will be featured on his No. 8 Chevrolet in the Chevy Rock & Roll 400. In 2003, Tony Stewart raced a 3 Doors Down Chevrolet for Chance 2 Motorsports in the Michigan Busch race, the same year Stewart and Dale Jr. were featured in the band's video for the song The Road I'm On. (April 1, 2005) - Hendrick Motorsports teammates Kyle Busch and Brian Vickers will race special Cartoon Network paint schemes at Bristol Motor Speedway in August. Busch’s No. 5 Chevrolet will be painted red, white and blue and feature the cartoon character Johnny Bravo. Scooby Doo will join Vickers as his No. 25 Chevrolet will be painted lime green to look like the Mystery Machine. (April 20, 2005) - Rusty Wallace will drive a Snap-on Tools paint scheme at Infineon Raceway in June. The paint scheme will be white and feature the Snap-On logo on the hood and the Snap-on 85th anniversary logo on the rear quarter panels. (April 21, 2005) - Jeff Burton, Kevin Harvick and Scott Riggs have been added to the Rock & Roll program at Richmond in September. Burton will have Big & Rich on his No. 31 Chevrolet and music singer Gretchen Wilson will be on the other Richard Childress machine of Kevin Harvick. Finally, the rock band Nickelback will join Riggs for the September 10th event. Also see March 31. (April 22, 2005) - Mark Martin will take flight with Batman at Michigan in June to promote the new movie Batman Begins. (May 3, 2005) - Rusty Wallace will be back in the black and gold colors of Miller Genuine Draft at Chicagoland Speedway in July. (May 4, 2005) - Bass Pro Shops will be the primary sponsor of Dave Blaney's No. 07 at Richmond (May) and Jeff Burton's No. 31 at Chicagoland this season. (May 12, 2005) - Dave Blaney will help celebrate Jack Daniel's 155th birthday with a special paint scheme at Bristol and California. (May 22, 2005) - Kasey Kahne will make another appearance in the Mopar colors at Charlotte in October.
I hadn't seen or heard about that one yet.............I like it alot better than the World Series car last year, but nothing tops the original All-Star scheme.
