Not sure about Person dont know much about him, other than that he was a good driver and Pettys rival. I was thinking about Dick Trickle, I was watching a race one time and they said that Trickle smoked during cautions. I dont know if Gant smoked or not, did get to see him race and seen him win 4 in a row and the 4th race was at Martinsville Va. and he got turned around in turn 3 and someone nailed the right front of his car, They worked on it and he came back to win for his forth in a row. It was Awesome!!!!!!
yeh, those four in a row were in September weren't they? that was one of the first years i started to watch the races and have been hooked ever since.....since that point, i've tried to learn more about past drivers as i really enjoy the sport and all the personalities that have came out of it.
