DOVER, Del. (June 5) - Tony Stewart says he's tired of Jeff Gordon's "whining," and isn't worried about retaliation for the spinout Sunday that dropped the four-time champion from the top 10 in the NASCAR Nextel Cup standings.
"I guarantee that next time Tony's in my way, it won't take but about a half a lap for him to be out of my way," Gordon said. "Tony was a little bit better than me, and no doubt I held him up. I just think he ran out of patience."
Stewart said he won't be intimidated by the threat.
"That's fine," he said. "We can get into a car crash. It really doesn't matter to me."
He made no attempt to avoid blame for the crash, but said Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Ryan Newman don't understand the need to let a faster driver go by.
"If somebody does something to Jeff, it's always their fault," Stewart said. "Jeff's always whining like that.
"Everybody else was doing a pretty good job of give and take. It's just when you get around Jeff, I guess the rules are different with him."
Stewart said he got close to Gordon to let him know he was faster and expected to be let through. Had the situation been reversed, Stewart said he would have moved over.
The crash was another disastrous result for Gordon, whose 39th-place finish came on the heels of a 36th last week in the Coca-Cola 600, when teammate Brian Vickers wrecked him as Gordon was contending for the victory. Two weeks earlier, an accident in Richmond resulted in a finish of 39th for champion Gordon. He now trails series leader and teammate Johnson by 350 points.
What else is he gonna say. It's become painfully clear Tony's medication ran out about last Tuesday. He was knocking several cars around Sunday. Jr.'s next on his list so don't get to happy. lol

When Tony caught Scott Riggs in the left rear in turn two and Scott got sideways why didnt he crash, Greg Biffle got killer sideways in turn 2 and saved it. Why did Jeff Gordon knock the wall down after Tony tap the Back of his car. I think he over corrected the 1st wobble which made him scoot up the track then he turned left trying to stay out of the loose stuff and lost it.
And tiny e STILL CAN't catch him. What's that say about tiny e?? Seems Jr fans should figure out their racing priorities. Winning races. JG-3 tinye- the ole goose egg!!!!

alrite i gota gemy say in here now now stewart just needs to cool it he bumped a ton of guys at dover in truck and cup races he wrecked 3 i think and bumped too many to count now helton u get in a LOOSE racecar at 150 mph get bumped in the rear while flying out of the corner and see if u save it EVERY TIME nobodys perfect he may not have been able to save that 1 but hey savin 99 out of 100 aint bad how many does scott riggs save 70/100 if that
