That's actually a put-down on Gordon. I think most drivers would want to actually finish the race and not lead laps than end up 30 something, getting a DNF.
Yes Dale is having a rough year and seems Jeff is also. Its hard for the fans of these two drivers to Rag or Smack Talk when are drivers are having trouble staying in the top ten. You know were digging dip when we say, My drivers Laps led = Your drivers DNFs. Lets hope things turn around soon. And I hope its Dale that does it.
Yeah I would much rather have had Jrs year, Be out of the chase when Gordon is not, have zero wins compared to 3, less poles, less top 5's..But hey Gordon has more DNFS so you would much rather be in Jrs shoes. The thing that should scare you is Gordons dnfs for the most part is a result of wrecks, Jrs poor finishes are a result of a crappy car or crappy driver or crappy crew chief, whatever.
once again, if you actually look at the race instead of listen to the commentary............you would see what is wrong with the #8 team is their inablility to get a handle on the new spoiler and gear rules. (as many teams have had a problem this year...i.e.-Rudd, Labonte, Kenseth).......have no fear, #8 will pull it together and will be in the Chase.
speaking of which, look out #24, you're in danger of leaving it yourself. Gordon is only 68 points ahead of Jr. and 50 points of being out of the Chase.
You DEI fans should worry about your driver more and stop worrying about what Gordon's doing. Gordon will be back as we all know. Jr....well he hasn't done anything all year. Will he even compete?? So far the answer is a resounding NO.( Just the facts.) Hasn't Robbie Gordon led more laps than jr.? hehehe For that matter it would be interesting to see if Jr. is beating anybody in laps led. Maybe Leffler. I think even Petty has more than 5 laps led. L8R

All year, you Hendrick boys have been spewing on and on about Dale Jr. and his crew chief, his teammate, his performance, etc. and now that the shoe is on the other foot, you guys want to get all sensitive and say we should worry about our driver. Too much! That is why I can never have high regard for a Hendrick fan, they can dish it out, but they sure can't take it.
True, Jr. has led five laps............but he was in contention to win both Daytona and Talladega at the end as well as running well at Bristol, Martinsville, and I believe Texas.
Someone should tell streaky-boy that consistantcy will win championships, nothing else, not DNF's or whining or bad-singing.
You guys are killing me. I really want both teams to make the chase, this board will be boring if they don't. Can u imagine a whole off season if they finish like 12 and 13.
I agree. Lou and I spoke of this yesterday. I think both teams will be there. I know jeff will, and hope Jr. gets it together. Wouldn't be right without both drivers getting in.
