Just curious about something..... now that we are in the final weeks of the season and have two, possibly three RTI teammats battling it out for the championship, how are you handling making your picks? Are you just as open with each other as you've been all year long? Obviously if you all pick similar drivers, you can't gain any ground on Nathan.
I always wonder about this situation since we created the team format.
Im looking at it like any race or races, I send my picks by email to the team and they send me theirs, we talk about whos good on the track and what we can get with the salarys then we pick. Sometimes we just tell who were taking and dont talk about it anymore. I cant speak for my teammates, but I want the Team Championship just as bad as the Cup and will do what ever it takes to win it.
Matt and I emailed our picks to Dean and Nathan before they made their picks. Just happened to work out that way this week. Usually someone gets the ball rolling and we all go from there. If they want to pick the same as me, that's fine. It would be sweet to win the championship, but as long as one of the RTI guys gets it, that's fine with me!
well obviously I didnt have a dog in the fight so I wanted to convey to the guys what I thought was good.
remember though, just as I found out the last week before the Chase, we can all have the same picks and still have clear cut winners and losers depending on ranking. We usually let each member decide that for himself.
And dont forget there could be five or six guys with the exact same picks as all four of us conceivably and thus knock us up or down a few spots again because of rankings.
what I'm saying is, we still help each other out while still maintaining to compete with each other.
And of course as they said, that Team Championship is something to be savored with all the rivalry that goes on in LuckyDogRacing!!!
*****sorry, but one last sidenote, I am even more proud of my team for having three members in the Top Ten in every league! Cup - Nationwide - Trucks
