Well, we have one final race of the year which is going to be a fantastic battle between Matt Sealey and Lincoln Griffin for the 2009 Truck Series Championship. We also have a very big battle between Rodney Webb and Greg Miller for the Truck Series Rookie if the year title. Good luck to these drivers!
Now I just want to alert everyone on come upcoming changes for the Truck Series next year. The council discussed ways to try and allieviate all of the really close races with most of the same picks being used all the time.
Therefore, after three season we will abandon the manufacturer groups and list all drivers by owners points. Much like the Nationwide series, we will have a total of 6 groups. The the top 5 will consist of the top 25 guaranteed drivers in the race. group 6 will consist of everyone else that has to qualify themselves in.
We will be picking 5 drivers each week, you have the option of picking a driver from either group 5 or group 6.
We will also keep the segment drivers but will be even more interesting next year because there's a change next year. Instead of just picking any 5 drivers, you will have to choose one driver from each of the top 5 groups. This will provide for some very interesting segment driver strategy because you will be forced to use some drivers during the year that you would never think of using. It should be fun to see how this turns out!

Does that mean that each of the groups will be frozen for each segment or that your segment driver maybe able to change groups during your segment? Either up or down? Also if I have picked someone in group 3 and then then become available in group 2 next segment can I choose them again in the next segment? I know lots of questions but my truck season is so bad I want to think about something else! LOL
Like KB may start in group 4 but be in group 2 or 3 for the 2nd segment???
