Lucky Dog Racing is proud to announce who will be representing them on the LROC team in 2010.
Dean Higley - Cup Series Champion: Dean makes the LDR LROC team for the third consecutive year. Fresh off his Cup Championship, Dean will once again look for big things in LROC. Dean won the LROC driver's championship in 2008, the first and so far only LDR driver to achieve this. He finished in third place last year, the highest LDR driver and only one to make the top 5. He also has three wins, 16 top 5's and 20 top 10's in 30 races. He is currently tied with Steve Willard for most top 5's.
Lou Demian - Nationwide Series Champion: The owner of LDR's LROC team makes the team for the third straight year and fourth overall. He has 2 wins, 5 top 5's and 19 top 10's in 34 races. He finished in the top 10 in LROC I, the top 5 in LROC III but had a rough season last year in LROC IV and finished in 14th place. He'll be looking for some redemption this year.
Matt Sealey - Truck Series Champion: Veteran racer Matt Sealey has been in the league since 2004 but had never made until now. After winning his first championship, Matt finally makes his first LROC team where he will give it his all. With any luck, all that hard work of trying to get into LROC will equal to success.
Ed Blackman - Yahoo Series Champion: It was a close race in the Yahoo league last year and Ed came out on top. Ed is also a veteran race who has been in the league since the start of the 2005 season. His experience should help him out in his first LROC season.
Jessy Turgeon - Beat the Streak Champion: Jessy dominated the beat the streak in 2009 with a long Nationwide streak. Hopefully that will help him out in the Nationwide portion of the LROC races. Jessy is the third new driver in LROC this year and has the least experience out of everyone else. However he is out to prove himself and may turn out to be a big surprise this year!
Nathan Helton - Chaser Eraser Champion: Nathan Helton is making his first LDR LROC team, but it's not the first time that he has participated in the series. Nathan ran with The Cool Pool in the very first season. That year there were just 4 races, but he made the most of it by getting a win, 2 top 5's and 3 top 10's. Nathan may be rusty in LROC but he has been in the league for a long time and has shown great consistency. He's sure to be one of the key drivers for LDR this year.
Congratulations to thse 6 drivers for making the team this year and good luck to them as they try to do what no team has been able to do yet.... Win the LROC Championship!
