Back in 2006 I obtained Media Passes from Fox Sports Net for the Fall Phoenix race (you can see pics here in the Gallery section).
Last week I got an email from acclaimed Freelance Sports Photographer Mark Rebilas offering me a chance to train under his tutilage as a Student/Intern next week in Las Vegas. Most/all of you have seen his work in Sports Illustrated, ESPN.com, ESPN the Magazine, USA Today, LA Times etc he specializes in Motorspports and has received Motorsports Photographer of the year twice in the past 4 years. This is not something he does often so I am thankful, blessed and very lucky to get this shot; I am going to make the best of it.
Excited wouldn't begin to explain things right now, I am still working overseas as a DoD Contractor and I have been working hard at building a Photography business so I can come home soon and obtain my goal of being a Photo Journalist.
This may very well be a giant first step in that direction being able to train with one of the Nations best in the trade. He has told me that if I get some marketable shots, he'll post my images on US Press Wire so they can get picked up in the press.
I'll be posting my images on my Blog, Facebook and if Lou agrees, I'll send some images his way to post in here again like we did back in '06.
Wish me luck and if anyone in here would like to see shots of certain driver let me know in here and I'll do what I can to get them.

That's more than fine with me if you want to send any pictures my way. I haven't been to a race in awhile so I haven't uploaded any race photos, so it would be nice to get some fresh ones there.
I'll have a media "Hot Pass" so I'll be very close to the drivers/crews/owners during the whole weekend, I'll be able to get some killer close ups and be able to capture Driver/Crew Chief shots.
I'll send them to you as soon as I get them processed

A good panel shot of Mark Martin's door or roof I need a cool avatar. Keep your batteries charged and keep clicking shots.
Just got back to the hotel, downloading my cards now. I got some killer shots from todays' Cup race..... Friday and Saturday we hit and miss for me, blew a lot of good but it happens.
I got a nice shot of Kim Katdashian's butt.... sorry, couldn't help it.
I did get the JP, Jamie Mac wreck, it happened just to my right and I carried it through and it stopped right in front of me.
I have tons of post processing to do and I'll send them to Lou to post on the site as well as my Blog later.....
Thanks for the support everyone, your requests were in my head as I shot the cars so you were right there with me. Except for when I was shooting Danika in the Media Press room and I got to ride the elevator with her, that time was all for me...... LMAO
