What is your opinion if we allow a substitute of Brian Ickler for those members who picked Kyle Busch in the streak to the finish? In the game members pick drivers rather than cars (or trucks) so if a driver isn't in ther ace, there shouldn't be any credit. However this was a last minute announcement not giving anyone much of a chance to change drivers.
With me being one of the 2 members Im saying allow the change, but if you guys feel its unfair I will understand. Even if I didnt pick Kyle I would say allow it, If the truck wasnt entered and someone wanted to pick another driver I would say no, but this is the truck that Kyle was driving.

It's a tough decision to take... but I think we could allow the change because it was a last minute change and also because similar situations won't happen very often in the future.
I know with a change this late I would at the least not want it to effect my streak. Count it as no race for that person this week or take Ickler as the replacement. Last second stuff should be given special rulings. Just my .02.
wow... guess it depends on who it helps. last year I didnt read an email fast enough and I wasnt awarded a option. Oh well

After seeing late picks were accepted, as well as driver changes being accepted, why have rules? I know its important to keep players happy...but we all have the same rules.

Not sure what that meant, "who it helps"? I am not biased against anyone in this league.
I knew this was going to be an issue. I originally did not want to have the picks changed. However since more people said to allow the change and I have only heard from one person who was against it, I allowed it. If anyone else is against it, please let me know and I will reconsider. Please do it before I calculate the results though.
If you have already told others that you will change and except their picks, then it is done. All I am saying is we cant be changing rules because a few members think it would be okay. I was burned last year by a driver change and my pick stood. I am not upset, just voicing my opinion. On to Monday!!

Well, now I am changing my vote. If there was a driver change in 2009 that wasn't allowed to be changed in this competition, then it shouldn't be changed here in 2010 either.
Is there a list of rules for the Streak competition? I think this is something that needs to be added if there is.
Since I didn't play last year, I didn't know about the change of driver and not allowing the players to change. However, I think this week should be handled the way it was in 2009.

Greg, there was a driver change. Lou sent an email out telling us. I had already made my picks, and by the time I read the email, the deadline had passed. I just dont want this decision to accept the change giving everyone the idea that they can do the same. The next person who is late, will have a good argument, and so will the next person and so on. Thats why I believe late is late......

I only emailed the Truck series league since it only affected the Truck series. I don't email everyone who plays the Truck series.
I only emailed the league after someone told me about the change a couple of hours before the deadline.
Maybe I should not ever email the league again and just play dumb even if I dound out a little before the deadline?
Really though, why should it be up to me to alert everyone? I have the same resources on the web that everyone else does. It's not like I have some secret inside information.
And to tell you the truth, I dont remember what the story was with John's issue. I don't think it was the same kind of case though.

ok, well that's a different series, not the streak to the finish.
Since this is a bigger issue then I thought, I will have have to go back on my decision to allow the points for Ickler.
You are picking drivers in this game, so if a driver is not in the race, you don't receive any points for them regardless of when the change was announced.
There was enough time to change drivers before the Friday 3:00pm deadline any rate. If you weren't able to change them, you just have to bite the bullet.
This rule will also be in effect for all future changes.
Wow! how did a claim jumper rule affect this game. Sorry John I didnt know you got shafted last year. Its my fault this was even brought up, I emaild Lou and asked him if we got the points for Ickler if he finishes in the top ten. Lou said he would put it to a vote in here and he did. It doesnt bother me one way or the other, it was voted to let me use Icklers points and now I cant because of something that happened in another series a year ago, Im not mad, its a game. We all get the shaft sometime or another. Good Luck at Phoenix and again Im sorry for starting this whole thing.
Nathan...had nothing to do with the claim jumper game. I picked a claimer early in the week and sometime later that driver was switched. i.e. ickler for busch...
