Maybe he's more worried about performing for his team instead of performing for the All Star Game. He started only 2 days ago. Why risk injuring himself in the game and hurting his team?
I'm sure if he was playing for the Braves it wouldnt be a problem....
Being from Red Sox country I can tell you Pedro is for Pedro. He has not played in recent all star games. He is still a great picture,on the down hill side of his pitching, but I still miss him. He always uses this time for a quick vacation back home.

Excuse you, but he did it before he came to New York too. So don't go blaming it on New York... he would do it no matter what team he was on.

Pitchers are not voted in, the manager determines who goes. Fans vote on positional players. And why would Latinos put more emphasis into this lame "spectacle"? The Homerun Derby was suppose to have international flavor. It looked like the same tournament except for the fact that there would be a few players waving flags around. Big deal! Also did not know Pedro was from Peru either.
Pedro should have at least dressed up for the All Star Game, and just not pitch. Most of these players are concerned with themselves first, regardless of what team they play for. Isn't the average salary in baseball now over 1 million?

Umm I got the original point. (It was a sarcastic sentence to finish up the first paragraph I wrote, the part you seem to have ignored.) You want to group 25 countries or so into your "sphere" because they are dubbed "Latino", go right ahead. So as an Anglo-American, I should be "connected" to all Canadians, Europeans, and Australians. I can see the connection if the player is from your country, not from your continent(s). Also, using colors in your text adds no value either.
My kids do love my class, by the way. Your teacher(s) apparently did care for you, Speed Racer. Or he/she would have made sure you could use basic English.
Furthermore, I only make those grammatical corrections for certain people because your unreadable posts deserve no worthy responses.
