Segment driver mix up

This is not a complaint or a whine, just trying to stop it from happening again if possible.  I was one of the 10 that picked an ineligible segment driver.  I picked Almirola.  Since the drivers have changed groups with the new points, I thought Almirola had started lower and moved up.  That was my mistake.  But the only place I could find that showed the original groups was on the Segment driver page where the drivers who had been picked have the ( ) with the group number next to them.  However, no one had picked Almirola so I didn't know where he was originally grouped.  Is there another page that shows the original groups so this doesn't happen again?

Gary

I'm not sure what you mean? When you tried to pick Almirola at the start of the segment 2 he is listed in group 1. You don't need to see where he was originally grouped in segment 1 because it has no bearing on you picking him now.

In segment 1 You picked Skinner who was listed in group 1 when you chose him so you couldn't pick Almirola now.

Everyone just needs to realize that they need to check their drivers from previous segments to see what group they were in. Once again, this can be done by checking the segment driver page. The number in parentheses is the group number. When you are picking a new driver at the start of a new segment, that driver can not currently be in any of the groups that you chose before. It does not matter what groups they were previously in if you didn't choose him before.

The mix up on my part is original and new groupings. For instance, Hornaday was originally in group 1 I think. Now he is in group 2. Can I now take him as a segment driver since he changed groups?

nope, once you used a segment driver you can not use him again even if he moves to a different group.

and yes I'm in the outer banks now, on the outside deck looking at the ocean, yay.

I had similar questions at the start of the season about Johnny Benson. I knew he wouldn't stay in Group 5 for very long and my original plan was to be able to use him again later in the year when he was in a different group.

Just to be sure, I choose to ask Lou about it then. He informed me that I would not be able to choose Benson again no matter what group he was in. That messed up my plan, but those were the rules. I could however take solace in knowing that I got probably the best Group 5 driver for the whole year taken care of in the first Segment.

So, we can only take one driver from each group throughout the year, but additionally, if a driver we do choose moves groups, we still will not be able to choose them again because we had already chose him earlier in the year.

I just thought all the segment drivers were going to be chosen by the original groupings for some reason. So in other words, I picked Skinner as a group 1 segment driver. Now that Hornaday has dropped to group 2, even though he started in group 1 I should be able to take him. I've got it I think, just a bit confused...
