Little chance I'll climb up in points enough to make anyone nervous.... so whats the most wins in a season by a player and not win the championship?

That would be 5 in 2005 by Mark Walraven, he finished 2nd.

Well if you finish outside the top 10, you'd be the first player to win 3 or more races while racing the entire season and not finish inside the top 10.  way to make history! biggrin

While it would be the first time in the Nationwide series, it has happened 4 times in the Cup series.

Last year Matt Sealey and Ed Blackman each won 3 races but finished outside the Chase.

In 2008 Sue Perna won 3 races and finished 19th.

And our biggest inconsistent, feast or famine player was Steven Cotter in 2005.  4 wins, 5 top 5's, 12 top 10's and finished down in 24th.
