I know this battle is far from over since alot of you still have your Class 1 Driver still to go, but I'm happy with my performance this year.
Busch is rocking for me right now and I just noticed that my Class 5 Driver, Johnny Benson, who alot of people thought was a bad choice has actually been the highest scoring Class 5 Driver all season even with missing two races!
If I do come out on top in this category, I think he will be the reason, not Kyle Busch....but then again, my Segment 5 is gonna SUCK!
Yes, that definately was a nice move to pick Kyle Busch this segment. You're also lucky that he decided to go to Kentucky too. Wouldn't be surprised to see you win the segment driver standings again for the 2nd year in a row. Speaking of which, I probably should make an award for that this year.
I like where I am now, even though Austin Dillon has been a little bit of a disappointment for me in the first 2 races of the segment. The good thing is that most of the guys that I'm fighting with in the standings have already used their class 1 driver and I'll have it for the final segment.
I really like the way the segment drivers are set up now. It got everyone out of picking the same drivers all the time, and it makes you think how you should pick your segment drivers all year. I didnt do so well on mine this yaer but Im learning.
yes I was against it in the beginning because I knew I couldn't pick all the good ones now.
I have been convinced this was the right decision. If I can't pick all the top drivers, neither can anybody else. Strategy has become much more involved now. (buy low, sell high kind of thing)
once again, I was wrong and Im glad I was. I dont think Ill walk away on the stop of this category again, but it has renewed my interest in the Truck Series that had started to wan even after winning the Championship last year.
