Steve Willard had a great post on FaceBook the other day and I thought it was cool enough to share here:
Name 15 Albums that are so memorable that they will always stick with you. (this isn't asking what are the best 15 albums of all time......you just state which fifteen are close to your heart, so everyone's will be different)
My fifteen:
Led Zepplin - Physical Graffitti GnR - Appetite for Destruction, Doors - best of the Doors Billy Joel - Greatest Hits Vol. 2 Korn - debut album Motley Crue - Decade of Decadance Alabama - greatest hits AcDc - Let There Be Rock Stone Temple Pilots - Core Def Leppard - Hysteria Metallica - Black Aerosmith - Pump Pink Floyd - A Momentary Lapse of Reason Tom Petty - Greatest Hits Poison - Open Up and Say Ahhh
Here are mine in no particular order. I tend not to list greatest hits collections but rather original albums.
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon Pink Floyd - The Wall Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run Nirvana - Nevermind Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes Pearl Jam - Ten The Beatles - Abbey Road Eagles - Hotel California Van Halen - 1984 Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magic U2 - The Joshua Tree Rush - Moving Pictures Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream Stone Temple Pilots - Core
whereas we all pick alot of good albums, you can definately tell our ages through the albums we pick.....(mine with greatest hits because i was too young when they first came out, steve with Rush and Styx, and Lou with, well no accounting for Tori Amos, LOL)
I actually have 25 of Rush's albums. All of their studio albums, five live albums and their Chronicles set. I'm a big Rush fan too and am looking forward to Clockwork Angels which will be released next year. I did download their early single, Caravan though.
I don't have any Perfect Circle albums, but I have all 4 Tool albums too.
How many cd's do I have total? 3700.... plus 788 mix cd's and over 10,000 songs on my ipod right now. lol, can you tell I'm a music fan?
