Surprised nobody asked me about the Dale Jr. and Martin Truex Jr. event we attended on Thursday....

The event was pretty cool. Not quite what I expected... although I wasn't sure what I expected. There were a lot of people there. The email I received from Dover said they were only giving out 140 tickets, however I guess a few other organizations may have had blocks of tickets too, who knows.

There was a cover band for the first hour who played a lot of classic rock. They were pretty good, but I just wanted to see Truex and Jr.

Finally both came out for about a 45 minute Q&A session on the stage. We were pretty close to the stage but because it was kinda dark, a lot of my pictures didn't come out all that great. They should have had a spotlight on them!

It was hard to hear them at times since their mics were kind of low and a lot of people were screaming and yelling. They were both great to listen to though, and both were funny.

They showed video clips of both driver's greatest wins and talked about them.
Afterwards, both threw out the autographed hero cards, but I was unable to grab any. I believe the Truex Jr. one was the same one the fan club mailed out. I would have liked to get the Dale Jr. one since I dont have any of his autographs.

Also, I wished they would have made it known that neither driver would be signing there. A number of people including myself brought stuff for them to sign. But overall, it was a nice evening and the closest we've been to either one of them so far.
