This record happened the previous week at Martinsville which I didn't realize until now. Finally a long time Cup series record that has been held since the 2004 season has been broken.

Shawn Jackson held the all-time lap leader streak of 94 races, from April 2004 until September 17 2006. In that time he had at least one lap leader in every race.

That held up until Kendall Moore finally surpassed him at Martinsville with 95 race, and now 96 at Texas. His streak started May 9 2009 and keeps on going.  Congrats to Kendall!
