In my opinion, this has been the least exciting Nascar season that I've seen in a long time. I don't know if it's because of the lack of cautions or just the lack of overall close exciting racing.
Yeah how is it that Pocono is more exciting than Bristol and Sonoma, lol.
If you remember back to Dover where they had the huge wreck early, Fox had to replay that about 20 times throughout the race since it was pretty much the only huge wreck they had all season. Not that wrecks are exciting, but they are part of the sport.
That is what happens when you strive to make it all EVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is just like the dam Government do not force the the underachievers to raise there game bring the rest down. It was better when a team could find an edge and every one played catch up. Whats next templates for the drivers?? To many rules. Get in line drive and let the pit stops decide who wins a race. Lets face it except for the 5 car last week more passing was done in the pits. As well as the 5 was I am sure they must be tearing that car apart.
Say it ain't so! I got three tickets for the second race in NH. If I had not promised to take my Grandson I would sell them! What could be the possible up side of that?
It was Bruton Smith I think right? Said Nascar needs more competition cautions to close the field up. Maybe if Bruton didn't own a bunch of 1.5 mile boring tracks, it wouldn't be necessary.
I am a huge NASCAR fan and I thoroughly enjoy watching the races, but I have to say I have fallen asleep or napped through more races this year than I ever have.
I agree..racing has just been boring. Its time to scrap the restrictor plates, time to scrap the Chase, and time to scrap the "lucky dog", and time to scrap automatic qualifiers (ie top 35 ) Its time for the drivers to start racing and quit following each other around til the last 10 laps. That would be a good start!!

I'd say scrap top 35 rule for sure. Shorten the field to like 40, get rid of some of these start and parks. I like the Chase though, especially with the wildcard. It makes it much more interesting.
