Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on the server switch. Right now I'm currently in limbo for about a week now.


I signed up with a new provider.... www.bluehost.com


They are a good company, provide a lot for your money and offer support.... something that my previous hosting company does not do.


All the files are up on the new site, that was the easy part. The hard part is trying to get the name servers to be switched over for the luckydogracing.com domain. My former host does not list the registants as the adminisatrator of the domain. Which means that he has to switch everything, I can't do it myself. The problem is that this guy does not know how to run a business. He is nearly impossible to get a hold of and offers no support. He finally responded to one of my emails on Saturday when he said he needed the new name server information. I provided that info on a 2nd email that I sent to him before I finally did hear from him. Don't know if he got that email or not. I provided it to him a 2nd time on Saturday night. Still haven't heard back. Sent another email last night with the information again. So that's where I stand now. Still trying to get everything switched over. I'll have access to the former account until the 23rd if I need to get in to change anything on the site. However, I won't be updating the site if I can help it until the switch is completed.


I'll just be glad when this is all done.

SWEET!  It finally has been finalized this morning!


Logged on to the site and was happy to see the name servers pointing to Lucky Dog Racing. After a week of fretting and fuming, I am so glad this is over, you have no idea. Dealing with that other host was not fun since I could not get through to him. I was even thinking that I might lose the name of luckydogracing.com. If that happened, I would probably choose luckydogracing.net but would have to switch all the links on the site over to that...... which would be a total pain.


Oh well....all's well that ends well. Not to start some new updating. I am thinking of designing a new front page that will be a combo of Cup and Busch. From there, you can click over to either the Cup league or Busch league.
