Plate races are one of the hardest to pick for and the weekend at Talladega wasn't any exception. There were a total of 11 misses in the Cup race and 7 in the Truck race. 5 members missed with both of their picks which included 2nd place Randy Cook who had another setback with any hope of trying to catch the leader, Lou Demian.
Lou was one of just 2 members who were successful in both races, the other was Ron Blackman. Both scored a total of 45 points which was the high score of the week. They also now both have a 6 week Cup streak which is their highest of the season. Both have a chance to try and break the record of 8 weeks but nobody has been able to do that since the game first started.
Lou hasn't officially clinched the championship just yet but he may have a shot next week. If he does, he'll be the first person to make next year's LROC team again.
The third highest score of the week went to Dean Higley with 37 points. Dean missed with his Cup pick but stretched his Truck streak to 7 weeks, that's a new high for him this year. Actually if he can make it one more week, he'll tie Randy Cook for longest truck streak of the season.
