With just 6 weeks to go it looks pretty evident that Ray Perrotta should win the championship. He got out of Charlotte with his Xfinity streak intact and even added some more points by starting a new Cup streak. After picking Daniel Suarez in the Xfinity race he extended his streak to 15 weeks and is now just one week away from tying the record. Of course after that not many people have had luck keeping it alive. Even if Ray's streak should end in the next week or two, he now has a lead of 314 points in the standings.
The only player within striking distance with a large enough streak is Greg Eichele in 3rd place. Greg has a 5 week Xfinity streak but would need close to a miracle to catch him. Greg finished 2nd to Ray this week. Ray scored 92 points and Greg 41 points.
Ron Blackman finished 3rd with 34 points. Ron has the 2nd longest running Xfinity streak of 6 weeks and could take over once Ray's streak is broken, whenever that is.
