Talladega was rough for a lot of the streakers this week. Five players struck out in both the Cup and Truck races including points leader Ray Perrotta. Luckily Ray was able to build a nice lead in the standings because he currently does not have a streak going in any of the three series. He's leading Dean Higley by 270 points. Dean may still have a slight chance of catching him by the end of the season but he's going to have to stay perfect in all three series and hope that Ray doesn't have too much success in the remaining weeks.
Dean was one of just 2 players to be successful in both races. He scored a total of 40 points which was the high score of the week. Terry Howell was the other player and he scored 39 points.
Lou Demian missed with his cup pick but extended his truck streak to 6 weeks and scored 38 points for the third highest score.
The only movement in the standings this week was Al Allison gaining a spot to 10th and knocking Merline Glenn back one.
