Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later but Kevin Sullivan finally passed Gary Wheat in the standings this week. While Gary has been struggling lately, Kevin has really turned up the juice after scoring 87 points this week for the top score. Kevin picked Johnson, Blaney and Crafton and was successful in all three races. His Cup streak is now at 9 weeks and if he can keep it going next week, he will tie the all-time record that Ray Perrotta and Gary Wheat currently have. His Xfinity streak is at one and Truck streak at 3.
Gary isn't totally out of it yet. Kevin's Cup streak will come to an end eventually, Gary just needs to keep his streaks going and he may have a chance to pass him by the end of the season. Right now he is 46 points behind.
Ron Blackman took 2nd place with 85 points. He went with Johnson, Blaney and Cindric. He also gained 2 spots to move up to 8th place.
Third place was tied by both Lou Demian and Ray Perrotta. They both scored 78 points. Lou holds in 3rd place while Ray moved up one spot to 4th.
