Kevin Sullivan did not have a great week at Texas since he missed with his Cup pick after picking Jimmie Johnson but luckily for him Gary Wheat also did. Kevin looks safe to win the championship with just two races left but there could be a little bit of drama. Lou Demian closed in a bit more after scoring 78 points this week. He's now 42 points behind Gary Wheat for 2nd and 127 points behind Kevin Sullivan for the lead. Lou would have to be successful in all three races for the next two weeks and Kevin would pretty much have to score zero points which is unlikely but we've seen stranger thing happen. More than likely Kevin Sullivan should clinch the championship next week.
This week it was Dean Higley and Terry Smith who both scored the most points, one more point then Lou with 79. Terry holds in 4th place and Dean was able to gain one spot in the standings to climb to 8th place.
