Just throwing this out, but how would you feel for Next year's all star race, that we have the league vote one more team into the race, much like the fan vote for the Nextel All Star race?
I figure I'd put a voting option on the all star race form for people to vote in most popular team or something to that effect. I'd reveal the results after the deadline. I would also make it where you couldn't vote for yourself. If there were a tie in the voting results, the team that is highest in the standings would get in.
Im lukewarm to the idea, with the exception of a few teams here and there teams are not that familiar with the other teams. maybe you could setup a thread where teams could list why they should be in the race......
Yeah, a shame I can't win anymore... haven't won since Nov. 2004. Oh well.... hopefully I'll win the championship or the All star race and I'll be in it forever.
Might be alright. As far as not knowing the teams it is a teams choice if they make them self known to the others by posting here. Not that being known is a good thing in some cases. Oh Lou don't feel alone about not being able to win a race!

How about we set up a contest to get voted in? Predict the number of cautions during such&such a race? or, race leaders during the same race? Head to Head match-ups during the year? Picking 3 season drivers and the one with the most points gets voted in? The highest in the standing without winning a race?
Arm wrestling contest? Drinking contest? Billards? Darts? Bowling?

I think we all know most of these ideas are jokes. I think that we should leave things as they are for the All-Star race, with the exception of a vote-in driver/team. Every Busch and Cup team gets to vote for one of the teams not yet eligible.
Does this mean we aren't going to have a drinking contest?
All of the teams not entered get a team entered in the pit crew championship. Winner of the pit crew championship gets into the All-Star race.
Highest non-qualifier in current LD Cup Points get the NASCAR points leaders team, and so on. If there are teams left over, the lowest non-qualifying team get the highest NASCAR points team and so on until all of the NASCAR teams are distributed.
I think I get it, however I'm not aware of all the teams entered in the pit crew challenge. I didn't see that posted anywhere. Speaking of which, how come they didn't broadcast that this year? NASCAR.com had it posted somewhere that Speed would broadcast it, but they didn't.

It's not a bad idea, however the real winner of the pit crew championship isn't able to get into the All star race if they win. Everyone says we should try and mirror NASCAR's rules here.
I caught the pit crew challenge on a 're-air' on Speed............not sure if it was broadcast live or not.
